IDENTIFYING THREATS TO THE ECONOMIC SECURITY OF AN ENTERPRISE AS A MECHANISM OF AN EFFECTIVE EARLY WARNING SYSTEM

Abstract

Socio-economic and political tensions in various regions of the Russian Federation lead to negative consequences for business activities. Sanctions imposed on companies restrict their operations, creating the need to protect national interests and domestic producers. Economic crises and cyber threats, which have become increasingly active in recent years, also affect the functioning of organizational structures, requiring further research into mechanisms for identifying threats to the economic security of domestic enterprises. The relevance of this study is determined by the unstable environment in which enterprises need effective countermeasures against potential and actual threats to economic security. The aim of the research is to analyze measures to counter threats to the economic security of enterprises. Economic and analytical research methods were applied, including analysis, comparison, and forecasting. The effectiveness of the enterprise’s economic security system largely depends on the ability to promptly identify both potential and actualized threats capable of destabilizing sustainable business operations. In this regard, scientifically grounded and practically tested methodological approaches aimed at identifying factors threatening the economic interests of an enterprise acquire special importance. The combination of such approaches constitutes a system of methods for identifying threats to economic security, each of which focuses on specific aspects of the internal or external environment of the enterprise. Considering the methodological tools in this area makes it possible not only to deepen the theoretical understanding of the problem but also to increase the effectiveness of managerial decisions in the field of corporate security.
